The TTTM hanging kit allows you to install your hammock indoors or anywhere you find sufficiently strong walls. Set of 2 suspensions with screws, washers and fish pegs.
What you need for assembly:
- 1 x drill
- 1 masonry drill bit 12 mm (3/8")
- 1 x 13mm adjustable wrench/open-end wrench
INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Try to find the right distance between two walls; generally 8-10 ft is perfect without the need for additional ropes.
2) Check the wall by tapping and knocking to see if it is strong enough and not just a thin layer of hollow plywood...
3) Choose any height from 4' and above, depending on the distance of your hangers. Make sure to install the anchors higher if they are further than 10' away - otherwise you won't have the 30° angle for your hammock or you will hit the ground ;)
4) Drill a hole in a concrete or stone wall with a 10mm (3/8") drill head. Check the length according to the bolt included in the kit. Clean the hole with a brush or blow off the dust residual water with a straw.
5) Gently insert the dowel first.
6) Insert the lag screw with the hook and washer already in place, screw in the bolt until it is tight.
7) Attach your rope or Moon Strap to the hanger and use your hammock as you normally do. Do not attach the aluminum carabiner directly to the stainless steel hanger, as this may damage the carabiner. Start by gently sitting inside your hammock to see if the hooks are installed securely and securely.
For block, brick or concrete walls, use a 10mm masonry bit to drill an 80mm deep hole. Insert the nylon dowel all the way into the hole. Screw the hook into the dowel until it stops.
For wood, use a 6mm wood drill bit to drill a hole 70mm deep. Screw the hook into the hole until it stops.
For stud (hollow/wall) walls, it is extremely important to center the hook on the stud which may be covered with panels or plasterboard. ADVICE : Use rope to extend the hook to the hammock if necessary. A simple hook is an effective way to attach it. Always make sure both ends of the hammock are at the same height.
WARNING :
Incorrect installation may result in risk of injury. Ensure that all work is carried out by a person competent in this type of work. Periodically check the hook for signs of excessive wear, including tension cracks, and replace if necessary. These hooks are not suitable for use in ceilings.
