Social and Environmental Projects

“TICKET TO THE MOON IS A TRIBE BEFORE BEING A COMPANY”

(Charles Descotis, Founder and CEO)

Over the past few years we have been very lucky. Together with our friends and partners in Sumba, we have been able to significantly improve the local livelihood situation. In fact, things have improved so much that the TTTM Foundation is now coming to an end. We are all extremely proud of the project's developments and are now eagerly following in the footsteps of our Sumbanese friends, providing advice when requested. With great enthusiasm, we are now refocusing our attention and energies on other selected social and environmental projects that we believe in and that work towards similar goals to make the world a better place. We are an organization committed to sustainability and social responsibility. This is why we feel a strong calling to give back to society and support those in need. Among other activities, we have therefore launched several collaborations which involve donations, for example. As we are in the process of reorienting our social efforts, let us know of any interesting projects that could be a potential partner!

Project Wings

The Wings Project is a growing German NGO currently building the world's largest recycling village in Indonesia from 250 tons of plastic waste. They aim to address three major problems on a global scale: species extinction, tropical deforestation and plastic pollution. The organization establishes a self-sufficient system managed by residents, which combines environmental protection, nature conservation and animal welfare. They use an innovative approach to transform plastic waste into eco-friendly bricks, which are then used to construct affordable buildings. The NGO is also involved in rainforest protection, animal welfare, promoting alternatives to plastic and education. Their future plans include building a sustainable market, sports field and organic restaurant. The Wings Project collaborates with various partners and supporters to bring their vision to life.
We support them by providing personalized printed bags to offer participants roundtable meetings with NGOs and politicians, as well as fundraising activities in Germany to raise awareness of this important mission. We will support their team with hammocks for community patrols and for team and fan sleeping huts. We plan to do some projects with them in the near future to raise awareness in Sumatra (more projects and collaborations are likely to come in the future).
One person's trash is another person's treasure!

Solemen

Solemen is a non-profit organization based in Bali, Indonesia that provides various forms of support to people with disabilities, people with chronic illnesses, and others with life-threatening conditions. They help individuals who cannot afford medical treatment, rehabilitation, or other basic needs. They also organize campaigns and events to raise awareness about various issues affecting the community. Ticket To The Moon recognizes the exceptional work Solemen is doing and would like to support them in their cause. Our company provided eco-printed bags made from eco-friendly and reusable materials. These eco-friendly bags feature the Solemen and our company logo, and are designed to raise awareness of Solemen's mission and promote sustainable practices.

Through this project, Ticket To The Moon hopes to encourage people to use eco-responsible bags instead of single-use plastic bags. Plastic pollution is a major environmental problem, and it is crucial that we take steps to reduce our use of plastic. By donating eco-friendly bags to Solemen, we aim to contribute to the reduction of plastic waste while supporting a great cause. We are proud to support Solemen's mission, create revenue streams and contribute positively to the community. Our team believes in giving back to society, and we will continue to find ways to support worthy causes. Another way we support Solemen is by providing Moonchairs to underprivileged families, including those with disabled children, among many others. These families were previously hidden in a poor area of Denpasar without support or outside help. Thanks to Solemen's close collaboration with the Bali government, they now live in the Renon area of Denpasar, in sturdy, clean housing with wheelchair access. The children benefit enormously from regular therapy, the provision of nutritionally balanced meals and ongoing emotional support from the charity. Previously, none of these children had had the opportunity to play. Now they're discovering all kinds of mischief with their new (and wild) swinging possibilities. What joy !
